• Notes

  In 1891, at the age of 21, Anna was living with Theodore Lewis Angerstein in New York. He is technically her grand-uncle (and she his grand-niece); "Lewis", as he appears to go by most commonly, is the brother of Anna's grandmother Johanne Caroline Friederike Angerstein Niemeier via her Father (and thus the uncle to her father, George Adolph Erdman). In his 1891 written Will, Theodore Lewis Angerstein left all of his "earthly remains" to Anna upon his death, as his wife Heccuba Angerstein, had apparently already passed by that time.
